Description of Vacancy:
DCA is recruiting a Community Adviser to support delivery of organisational support, network events, and a short term programme of engagement work with health care professionals and social prescription training, until 31st March 2019. Are you a dynamic individual with strong community development, networking, partnership work and facilitation skills? If so, and you think you have what it takes to inspire not-for-profit groups to fulfil their ambitions, then we want to hear from you. To be successful, you must be able to use your facilitation skills to: assess clients' needs and identify areas of support; agree solutions and best fit services from our menu of information, training and consultancy services. You should also have technical knowledge in not for profit specialisms including funding, governance and legal structures. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have a strong initiative, and can work with a variety of stakeholders, including public sector health & social care professionals, and a range of voluntary and community sector organisations. We are looking for creative individuals who have experience to hit the ground running and support delivery of organisational support, network events, and short term programme of engagement work with health care professionals on social prescription.

This is a part-time position (21 hrs per week) and is offered on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2019. Split of hours across the week to be agreed with sucessful applicant and work will be based in the Dorchester and surrounding areas.
