Dorset for You

Information on current contracts and tendering opportunities in Christchurch Borough Council, Dorset County Council, East Dorset District Council and West Dorset District Council.

Borough of Poole

Information on how to do business with the Council and their corporate procurement strategy. The procurement team are currently putting together a list of all current contracts which they will then put on their website along with new tendering opportunities. (Information correct Jan 09).

Supplying the Southwest

This site is being used increasingly local Councils for advertising their contracts.  Current used by Bournemouth Borough Council it is anticipatd that more will use the serive over time.  You can register free of charge as a supplier in order to receive e-mail notifications of tenders in the categories you are interested in.

Supply to Gov

This is the only official Government lower-value (typically below £100,000) contract opportunity portal, created by the Government to provide small businesses with access to lower-value public sector contracts.

TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) is the online version of the 'Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union', dedicated to European public procurement.

ACAS provide an 'A-Z of work on their site at They provide a helpline for free advice on employment matters. You can also access a number of free on-line training courses concerning employment via this page.

The Department of Trade and Industry provide information about many employment issues as well as other aspects of running a business at
